(Revised 2.28.2015; things have gotten better and consistency has found a place here. It seems like every time back they do something to set themselves apart, great service!) We have now gone here at least (12) times and I have to say, very inconsistent. Very good to over the top service at times. The fries are hit or miss on the crispy hot front, but tasty. The onion straws I have to agree with a few reviews they are salty at times. The burger was very good to great the first few times in, but it seems the standards are slipping, just a bit! Don't get me wrong I enjoy this place, but the cook turnover must be high. Inconsistent burgers are not a good thing when all you do is burgers. I have to admit that I would enjoy a beer more often if the selection was a bit bigger and better? Yet all and all this is as close as I will get to fast food, so not bad! (2.28.2015 cont' / this place has found its stride and I truly hope they keep rocking. As stated before this is as close to fast food I will eat!!!)

I wanted to check this place out after I saw it, then saw from coupon in the mail that they had craft beer on tap. It's in an old Burger King, and kind of feels like it. They've done work to upgrade the dining area, and generally speaking that looks nice. But with the open view of the kitchen/order taking area, it looks kind of cluttered and fast food like. Made me nervous my beer would taste horrible but it came out good. 5 or so craft beers on draft, most all of them Michigan beers. Burger was just average. Nothing bad about it, but nothing memorable either. Prices were decent, but I would only come here if I was more interested in a good beer, but not really the burger. And then I'd have to be OK with drinking my beer in an average looking place that's trying to not look like a Burger King, but only half pulls it off...

I had a freakin burger. Turkey with no tomato. The burger was delicious and the fries are to die for. It's definitely great atmosphere and relaxing. The technology is amazing in there and their create your own burger looks promising. I am definitely going back

I enjoyed eating here. As our group walked in looking awkward (we'd never been to the restaurant before), we were greeted by a very friendly and polite staff who explained quickly and thoroughly how the menu works. We all made our choices, placed our orders - were given a number and decided to eat outside. The food arrived as timely as I expected for specialty burgers. I ordered a single Drunken Mushroom with Sweet Potato Fries. Had I actually read the menu closer, I would have realized that the fries come with sugar and brown sugar sprinkled on them (personally yuck). So, I took the fries back inside to read the menu closer. On realizing the mistake was mine, I turned to walk back outside when a lady behind the grill, who I can only assume was a manager, asked what was wrong. I explained my fry dilemma and was told they would happily bring me a fresh order of sugar-less sweet potato fries. So to sum up; friendly, great service, pleasant atmosphere. I'd recommend this place to others looking for a good burger. I thought the cost was a little high for the meal I received, but it tasted great and the friendly service made me not care so much about the cost.

Finally ... it was a Freakin' Unbelieveable Burger(s) I had a 2:1 coupon for burgers burning a hole in my pocket - that expires tomorrow. So, I take my bride to FUB and we arrive ~2 minutes before the lunch rush slams the place. Tuesday is also free-fries day. I did not expect the fries to be free, because I was using the 2:1 coupon. Nonethless; they stacked the two specials! Two burgers, two fries & two waters for $6.88 total. No problems with ordering or service today. The Southwest burger (corn, onion, guac) is very good and the garnish does not overpower the beef. Sadly; when I tried to post a pic from the Yelp app (Android) ... it posted a completely different photo (from Jalapenos).

Pretty believable burgers TBH. The decor is quite nice, and I appreciate the liquor selection. The variety of toppings is also a pleasure. The actual burgers? Better than Burger King, but not the best I've ever had. The meat is bland and the vegetables are only about as fresh as your average fast-food restaurant. Fries are acceptable, but not great. The last time I was here, the waitstaff was nice but inattentive and seemed confused; we had to wait for an unreasonably long time to speak to someone for takeout, even though the place was not exactly packed. When I got home with the burgers, either we had gotten the wrong order or what we had ordered was vastly disproportionate to what we actually got. If there weren't so many excellent burger places in the area, I'd probably be more impressed. As it is, places like J. Alexander's have the gourmet burg market sewn up, Five Guys corners it on upscale fast food, Green's is the only place to go for sliders, and the Basement Burger Bar in downtown Farmington just sets the gold standard. F.U.B. is just not impressive by comparison.

The place is huge and the service is good. You order then they ask you to sit and they bring the burgers to you, so you dont have to worry about the waitress if she/he got your order right. The burgers are heavy but tasty. The fries are so so, very salty and not very tasty. The selection choices on the menu are good. Large portions and filling. Went there 3 times so far. Clean and good for families, they have high chairs.

Stopped in on 09/03 at 9:15pm and all the lights were turned off. I called store and Lady told me they were open. I asked her why all the outside lights were turned off and she replied idk.

Having picked up my daughter after she stumbled into the restaurant we proceeded to the counter to order. Erica F. and I went here to check out this burger joint. Wow, pretty classy. The chandelier is pure look at me we're upscale. I took the advise of previous Yelpers and enrolled on line. They sent me an email for a free burger, any choice. This was my reminder to check it out. I tried the double Fire Burger with all american beef. Excellent choice. The burger was juicy and very tasty with a good snap of heat to tickle the taste buds. Add in the side of onion straws and fries and this was a great meal. My daughter liked the meal as well and has since come back here again. The prices seem a little high but comparable for a gourmet burger restaurant. The televisions are a nice touch and the decor is nice for a gourmet burger place. The choices of beer and wine and limited drinks are nice. If you don't like or feel like going to a noisy bar for a beer and burger this is a great option.

Service was excellent- good choice option of burgers- $6 for a single mushroom burger- it was very good. Not greasy. Tasty. Flavorful. Loaded fries - meh not worth $4. Would just get plain fries. My friend got the blue burger- she thought it was really good- she also ordered sweet potato fries- I didn't care for them. $ 20 bucks for 2 burgers, special fries and a lemonade.

I came here to eat lunch with fellow yelper Margaret for lunch, as it's been on my list of burger places to try for a while. I finally got the chance to eat here, and the place isn't that bad. We both really enjoyed our meals, and the staff was really courteous and friendly. For starters, this used to be a Burger King back in the day. I remember coming here as a kid for birthday parties and playing in the play room many times. Obviously things have changed, and now it's a different (and better) style burger joint! I really loved the decor. Plenty of seating, cool decorations inside and out along with a wonderful patio to sit outside and eat when the weather's nice. The place is a fast casual setup, so you place your order at the counter and they walk it out to you when it's ready. We had lots of questions about the menu and what goes with what. I noticed on the menu that they had a boom boom sauce. I couldn't help but laugh and ask what was in it. I guess it's a spicy horseradish sauce if you want something with some kick to it. Their house sauce is more of a thousand island dressing type if you want something more mild. I went with the standard Freakin unbelievable burger with fries. Margaret got a burger and the shaved onion rings. I secretly wanted the onion rings but went with fries instead. I wish I had gotten them! They looked so good! She let me try some and they were tasty! Staff here was really pleasant and the food was pretty good. Being an independent place, I give them props for being different and new. If I'm on this side of town again I would gladly stop in and eat here.

Well...what can I say. I raved about the original Flint location, and was thrilled to hear that they opened up another location further south. This place, unfortunately, is nowhere near what the Flint location offers. Here are the issues: - Food portions are pretty ridiculous for the price you pay. They are supposed to be more innovative and unique flavor profiles, but for $7, I expect more than 2 oz. of meat protein. On this occasion, I ordered their salmon burger because I had their beef burgers before, so I wanted to try something new. I liked that the piece of salmon was not some ground up patty mixture, but instead an actual salmon filet. However, it was barely there, and all I could see and taste was the brioche bun. Sauce was drenched and not much of balance in flavor. - Fries were charged at $1.99 for a small side, and all I got were 10 pieces. Serious? Plus they were too salty. - Staff were mostly young kids, and they lacked so much professionalism and maturity (I guess I shouldn't be surprised at this part), but I find it odd that staff is eating and chatting on their phones in the main dining room while customers are eating. Call me old-fashioned, but please, if you're going to take a break or make a phone call, please do it away from me. By no means is this place bad, but I'll definitely not be seeking it out again. For a $10 meal of an itty bitty burger and an equally itty bitty amount of fries, I'll take my money elsewhere, and stick to the original Flint location if I'm absolutely craving a Freakin' Burger.

It was ok. It is fast food and about as good as Five Guys. It is better than really cheap fast food but I wouldnt call it good. It was clean and employees were very friendly. They did a good job of explaining the menu for us new people. I might go again, who knows. Jaws is right next door and 10 times better. I think if I was in the area and wanted a burger I would get Jaws or Red Coat.

Came here on a Saturday to meet Amy B. and enjoy a nice lunch. While I enjoyed the food, the thing that really won me over was the service. We were greeted warmly as soon as we walked in. We explained to the young man that we had never been to the restaurant before and he very thoroughly explained the menu options. We asked a few follow up questions in regards to some of the sauces offered and he gave us all the information we wanted. I ended up getting a single patty burger with lettuce, tomato, pickles and American cheese. I opted for the combo lunch and got a drink and upgraded to onion straws. The burger was cooked well and the amount of toppings were extremely plentiful. I LOVED the onion straws. They were thin strings of onion in a very light and delicious seasoned batter and would have been good on top of the burger as well as a side. They have a ton of options... Meat, chicken, and even a fried Portobello mushroom, if you don't care for meat. You can have as many or as little toppings as you like. Prices were extremely reasonable. For my ample burger, onion straws and drink, it was less than $10. The ambiance is very nice. More upscale than your regular burger joint! It was well worth the trip to Farmington Hills! P.S. They have beer and wine!

My boyfriend and I came for lunch. It was probably 12:30 when we arrived. The lady at the counter was nice but kind of slow. We each ordered a fire burger with fries and a beer on tap. We sat down and the décor is very open, spacious, and cozy. Our burgers and fries came out but I questioned the deliverer as to where our beers where. She apologized and ran to get them. She wasn't particularly snappy about it. I'd say it was about five minutes before she brought them to us. As for the burgers, I'm assuming the lady gave us the "original" which I believe to be two patties. The patties are on the smaller side and you cannot order them anything but well done. The fire burgers were delicious though I'd like more jalapenos next time because I really love spicy stuff. The burgers cost about $7. The fries were pretty good, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. The beers were awesome. Why? Because a 16 oz draft beer costs $2. That's right, $2! Crazy. For the two 16 oz beers, two fries, and two burgers it was $24. I think that's pretty reasonable especially since alcohol was involved.

After a long early day I decided to go out for a burger to Freakin' Thank you yelp! I walked through the front door of Freakin' to a smiley face and a warm welcome. Ngina (the smiling face) gives me the rundown on what's going on with food, drinks and specials. She's not reciting it like a robot, she's saying while salivating. I order the meal deal Ancho BBQ burger, fries and a Bells beer. What a great combo!! The bacon was especially nice and smokey. Also they have very strong wifi. I'd go back just to see Ngina's smile but the food was great too.

I'm waffling between a 3 and 4 but I'm feeling generous today so I guess we'll go 4. With a name like Freakin' Unbelievable Burgers they have a lot to live up to and while I think these are good burgers I don't know if I was TKOed by them. But if you compare them to other fast food burger faire they definitely rise above. Before I came I just kind of skimmed the reviews so I didn't really have a great concept of what I was in for, just that the buzz was good. When I pulled up I was impressed by the building for sure. It's new and fancy. When I walked in I was also impressed by the cleanliness and the design. I wasn't, however, expecting counter service. Not that that that's a bad thing. For some reason I just thought that it was a sit down with a menu and order kind of place. They have a variety of burgers with different toppings and sizes (one patty or two). I'm kind of a burger purest so I went with the Freakin' Burger which is American cheese, freakin' sauce (a ketchupy mayo?), pickles, lettuce, tomato and onion. It was definitely good and filling but I didn't quietly weep from regret when it was over which I'm known to do over a really great burger. I added the fries and a beverage and my friend who joined me did the same and that brought our total to about $20. That means prices are higher than your typical fast food chain but the quality is way better than a McDonald's or Burger King so you get what you pay for. Definitely on par with something like 5 Guys or Elevation burger price wise. They also have a drive thru if you're in a hurry which is nice. Curious to try it again and maybe try one of the other burger designs and a few different sides. You can swap out the beef for a veggie, salmon, portobello or turkey burger OR grilled chicken. Which is a nice option if you're not into red meat. On the menu are also a few salads, chicken tenders, chili, and fried sides like green beans, pickles, sweet potato fries, onion straws, jalepeno poppers and mushrooms. Definitely intriguing and gives me incentive to return for sure. Ps--they also have beer, wine and frozen drinks like daiquiris and margaritas if that's your bag.

I got hooked on this up in the Flint area and on the way to the local arcade and I saw this... I was so happy!! We went in to check it out and it's just like the one in Flint - same great food, same great drinks, same excellent service... only closer to home for me! :) We started going here because they offer an amazing lettuce wrap for their burgers to help cut the carbs and gluten. I actually prefer them with the lettuce wrap - it seems to make them more crisp. Plus, it allows me to say I'd like to "go naked" when placing my order.

This is a pretty safe bet for good food, but if your on a tight dime... probably not the place for you. other than that place is great, awesome atmosphere great food good milkshakes. the issue is that with places like Jaws and 5 guys this place is more expensive and doesn't really offer much more. they do have coupons though if you sign up for their E-club.

2/13/15 I went to Freakin' Unbelievable Burgers with a birthday coupon for a free burger. This was the first time I've been unhappy with what I got there. The first order of onion straws was so hot that it tasted like they'd dumped a whole container of pepper on it. I took it to the counter & they said that that's their boom boom flavoring & asked if I wanted something else. I asked if they could make it without it, and they said they could make it with regular flour. It wasn't much better & I really didn't eat most of them. The burger had the same onion straws on it and I think more of the sauce, so it was kind of spicy, too, although I did manage to eat that. And, they didn't have any sweetener -- just sugar. Glad it was mostly free. 5/29/14 I stopped in again last night because I had a coupon for buy one, get one free. I got the Upper Crust burger, which was quite tasty. A nice mix of flavors, although the cucumber didn't add much to it. It didn't detract, either. It was just kind of...there. I also got a salmon burger to take for lunch the next day and I didn't even look at it until lunch time. I was pleasantly surprised to see that it really was a nice piece of salmon, and not battered or breaded in any way. The toppings complemented it nicely, and the cucumbers did work on this one. It really was worthy of a salmon sandwich at a sit down restaurant.

Literally stumbled into this place, like I tripped in the doorway on my walk in. My dad and I decided to come to Freakin' for dinner last week. I couldn't believe that this place used to be a Burger King! You order your food when you walk in. My dad actually got a free meal for his birthday, so that was a awesome incentive to go in! I got just a single cheeseburger, french fries and a pop. My dad and I shared some onion straws, oh my GOSH they were so good. For having a free meal for my dad it was still pretty pricy! The flavor definitely made up for the price. The portions were plenty for me, I was stuffed when I walked out. Since we went later at night, so the staff seemed a little sluggish, but you don't really interact with the staff unless you go up to the counter. Personally, I haven't used the drive-thru but I will hopefully in the future, since I plan to be back!

Pretty good burgers. Fun atmosphere. I would call it an upscale five-guys. I liked that my burger was less greasy than five-guys. It was tasty. Would definitely go back again!

Been here a couple times now and am very pleased with the food. I have tried the Drunken Mushroom (with a baked bean patty) and the Portobello Burger and l enjoyed both of them. The fries (sweet potato and regular) were good too. I was however disappointed with the chocolate shake which was not as rich as I expected it to be. The service, both in the drive thru and inside the restaurant was very prompt.

I'm so glad I found this place. I was passing through the area and needed to pick up something fast but not necessarily wanting "fast food". This was a great choice. The counter staff was very friendly and helpful in making my selection. I asked for my sandwich to-go and they thoughtfully recommended putting the sauces on the side so the bun would not get soggy. My absolutely favorite thing about this place??? You can exchange your protein on any of their sandwiches. If you aren't in the mood for freshly cooked Angus beef, you can get grilled chicken, a black bean veggie burger, or (my personal favorite) a grilled salmon filet. I also love that you can build your own sandwich with any of the components they offer. This lets you to be as naughty or angelic as your diet and your conscience will allow. I felt the price was fair for the options. I purchased two sandwiches, 1 fry and a soda for the same money you would spend at any fast food burger joint, yet the quality and freshness was better. They have outdoor seating, a nice decor, and ample number of televisions if you want to watch the game. Oh, and they also have local craft beer on draft. If I lived in the area, I'd probably come here again. The only drawback was that the fries were over-seasoned. I like that they used a salt and pepper blend, but they need to go easy on the salt so you can add more if needed.

I'm what you would call a "burger connoisseur". I've eaten burgers from the Atlantic to the Pacific. From the Gulf of Mexico to Canada. It's with that in mind that I can safely say I'm a good judge of what a tasty burger should be. Their burgers are indeed tasty. Are they unbelievable? No. Would I kick a small puppy to have one? No. Are they over priced? Certainly. Their fries are great, but the portion is not large enough to justify the price. I will say this, I find it pretty cool that a fast food place serves beer. It also has a large chandelier, which is unique. Over all, although I think the food, service and atmosphere were good, I doubt I'll go again. I can get a burger just as tasty at Halo Burger and pay less. Still, I would recommend to try it at least once.

Another place with great burgers. What sets this place apart is the quality of their brioche buns and the availability of other proteins. I had the black bean "outback" burger. The burger arrived hot, fresh, and well-built (it wasn't falling apart). The French fries are top rate too. The atmosphere is comfortable but contemporary.

Food is very good if you go in and the drive thru is a nice addition. Be warned that they can't get large carry out orders right. We've tried that at least five times and it's always really wrong. I like building your own burger and there is something for everyone. Service is hit or miss- sometimes friendly and sometimes like "I'm just here for the paycheck".

Clean and nice place with helpful staff. Unfortunately the burgers are rather boring. Our group tried a couple different burgers (freakin burger, drunken mushroom) and they were extremely bland. We didn't find the patties very tasty in of themselves and the toppings didn't bring much to the party either. If they want to be 'unbelievable' they really need to step up their game. Previous reviewer said best in Detroit.. I don't think they have tried very many places.

Glad they have the choices they have like turkey burger and brie and apples and other non-typical selections, but the wait was pretty extensive and the burger and salad were so oversauced.

The food was great! Such an unbelievable freakin' good burger! You can add any topping to your burger, even avocados!! The regular fries are better than the smothered fries! The young cook named Jordan was very nice! He actually came to my table to ask how the food was. Good customer service! Definitely will be back again.

Ordered: Southwest + Fire burgers, fried pickles, fries + chipotle ranch, 2 sodas Price: $23.28 Ambiance: Stereotypical fast food setup with a black & white theme. The seating is slightly more upscale and the two TVs on the walls give it a somewhat sportsbar-type vibe. Service was nice enough. Food: In terms of basics, this place tries to go a step above with a hearty brioche bun that never goes soggy and custom ground angus beef patties, however, they fall a little short. The thin 'crispy-style' patties not only lack heartiness so you need a double to be full, but they taste like a stereotypical fast-food griddle. The fire burger toppings were admittedly tasty with the jalapeños packing some serious heat and the spicy mayo + cholula adding flavorful moisture. The southwest burger was less composed with the black bean and corn salsa falling out, being a little flavorless, and not incorporating well into the burger overall. The fried pickles were good with a light crispy fry and OK pickles. Fries were also fine. I must say the chipotle ranch and cholula sauces was grossly underwhelming. I hate it when restaurants dilute them down with mayo or ranch until they're barely recognizable. Overall this place is definitely a step above fast food burgers with gourmet touches and a very customizable menu however the overall taste is still that of a dressed-up fast food burger. The biggest culprit is the patty which simply isn't hearty enough and carries a stereotypical griddle/oil taste that masks the angus beef. The price is also a touch exorbitant as $23 dollars can usually buy 2 actual gourmet burgers with sides elsewhere. I'd give this place 3.5 stars and would say it's a great fast good alternative but not the ticket if you're looking to satisfy a real burger craving.

Good burgers. Good toppings. Expensive sorta. I think I like five guys better but it is a totally different atmosphere. Like burger king vs fudruckers, if that makes sense. Good for lunch or a super low key dinner. $20 for 2 lunches

I've been here a handful of times, and haven't ever thought to review this place until my experience last night. I contemplated giving 2 stars, but I'll stick with 3 and explain. My husband and I first came to FUB when they first opened about a year ago. We were impressed with many things - menu, drinks, food, cleanliness, and the way it was decorated inside. If you didn't know this place used to be a Burger King beforehand, chances are you wouldn't be able to tell with the remodel. It's definitely casual, but a little more "fancy" than your typical fast food joint. I will say I've never been disappointed on the food. I typically get the Ancho BBQ Burger and Sweet Potato Fries - last night I got the Down Under Burger and that was pretty good as well. The burger and fries are always delicious. I love the fries! Service is generally consistent. Well...it had been. The last few times I've been here the service has been anything but good. It's been flat out rude. I came here in November. My friend wanted to do a Dia de los Muertos shoot with me as a birthday present. We were hungry afterwards and I suggested FUB. I stopped home to change, but didn't wash the facepaint off my face. For those unsure, this is 2 days after Halloween. It seemed perfectly acceptable to me to go out in public like that - it was DoD afterall. Well one of the girls working there decided to be EXTREMELY rude and laughed when we walked in. Then she tried to be slick and take a picture of me, like I wouldn't notice or anything. Okay. I was pretty much annoyed and honestly pissed by it. Look, if you want to take a picture or are confused with what's going on - ask! Simple as that. Well apparently for her it wasn't. So since that little episode I haven't been back until last night. I'm pregnant. I just got off work. I wanted a burger and fries, and I didn't want fast food (BK, McD's, Wendy's, etc) burger and fries. The closest place to my house is FUB, plus they have a drive-thru making it extra convenient. I called them up and was greeted with nothing but rudeness by the girl who took my order. After everything I tell her she just said, "ok" with an attitude. After realizing they don't offer Vernors or Ginger Ale, I asked if I could get it with Sprite. She told me yes, but I could just come inside and get it. Umm ok??? So I told her I planned on doing the drive-thru and asked if I still had to come inside. She told me I didn't have to if I was doing the drive-thru but I might have to wait 20 minutes for my food if there are other people in line. Whatever lady, I'll see you in 25 minutes. When I got there, there was a lady ordering at the speaker. I drove around her, a guy came to the window, I gave my name, and he gave me my food. No drink. I had to tell him I ordered a drink and he asked me what I wanted. Sprite. I was there less than 5 minutes. The food is really good. But for the service and the price? I don't know if the food is good enough for me to overlook those two things. A burger, fries, and medium drink were $10+. Now if the food AND service was good - I could totally overlook the price, but I can't justify spending that much when it's paired with crap service.

Do not let the name fool you. It is not a freakin unbelievable burger. That being said, it is a good burger. The fries were just ok. Definetly above your typical fast food burger, you have a couple of dozen topping options here, some very unusual, which I would give them 5 stars on. My rating of 3 stars, is that it did not live up to the claim. However, I got the Blue Cheese burger and would come back and have it again.

The ONLY place we had time to eat at while in town for a meeting. INCREDIBLE FOOD... wow. Wish I could take their burgers back home on the plane. Just wanted to say thank you for such a tasty burger. They have made it in my top 5 burgers ever... we will be back any time we're in the area.

Sorry to burst the bubble of unbelievable-ness... but these burgers are NOT so unbelievable. Believe it. The restaurant is beautiful, well kept and very clean. The staff is nice and courteous. But the food... I'd skip it. I ordered the down under burger, which has some special sauce, similar to the bloomin' onion sauce from outback, except it's sweet. not so good... It had onion straws on it, which were good, and 2 meat patties. THIN THIN THIN. Like I'm talking Greene's, Telway or Hunter House thin. Probably 1/4 lb. of meat on the entire burger. I'm convinced the burger wasn't cooked to order... it wasn't hot. The fries were old. They tasted old. They were just warm. The onion straws were the onion ring replacement in this establishment, and although they were good and tasty, they were just too thin and flimsy to be a replacement for onion rings-- as a side. On burgers they were good. So, overall... this place is comparable to McDonalds burgers, except McDonalds fries are better.

Came here for dinner had Thai and spicy burger with bean patty. Both were decent although I preferred the spicy one. The Thai was a bit too sweet and the portions seemed too small The fries were decent and the bbq sauce and boom boom was very good I still prefer thin cut fries though than these ones I will still go back to try other ones and while they didn't wow me neither did the experience turn me off

Freakin' unbelievable burgers? Not quite, but they make a pretty solid burger. I ordered the Ancho BBQ burger which came with bacon, BBQ sauce and fried onion straws. While a bit on the small side, the burger was very good and the toppings definitely added to the flavor. The large, fresh and tasty fries were probably the highlight of my meal. The restaurant is very clean and modern, and everything is made to order and delivered to your table. I would come back, but probably wouldn't go out of my way for their burgers. There are plenty of similarly priced burger joints, such as Five Guys, that make a superior burger.

Went to Freakin Unbelievable Burgers with the kids for the first time tonight and we all really enjoyed it. We were greeted the second we walked in the door by at least three staff members and they were geniunely nice! It was a very nice and very clean place. I got a specialty burger and two of my boys got a build your own and my little one got a kids meal. I liked the fact that the girl taking our ordered asked him if he wanted apples and milk instead of fries and a pop. Our burgers were huge, tasty, fresh, and delicious. Even the kids burger was pretty large. I got the sweet potato fries instead of regular and they were lighly coated with cinnamon sugar which i actually did not like. The regular fries were good tho. Also this place is not cheap but we definitely got what we paid for. I would give it 4.5 stars but i cant so its 5

Thought this place was very good. Stopped in for lunch about a week ago. We didn't know what we were walking into and the menu can be a bit overwhelming with the different options and swapping that you can do. I ordered the Fire Burger but swapped out the jalapenos for banana peppers. It was very good. The burger can be a bit overwhelming in size/greasiness, but it was good nonetheless. It's not a fast food restaurant in the typical sense of the word. You receive a number and they deliver the food to your table. The service was friendly and prompt. I definitely think I'll be returning at some point, but I'm not one for swapping out the beef for salmon and regular trips to FUB will definitely prove to be diet busters.

This is a decent burger place if you like variety of toppings. They have all sorts of crazy burger toppings you can choose, from eggs to "boom boom sauce" to onion straws and everything in between. So if you're a condiment connoisseur, this is the place for you. Unfortunately the burgers are a bit on the expensive side, and a lot of the toppings cost extra. The sides are really delicious, the fried pickles are my all-time favorite and the fries are good too. It's in a renovated burger king, but they did a lot to dress the place up and make it look a little more upscale (black white and silver modern decor, with chandeliers). It's the only burger joint I know that sells bottled beer, which is unique. Four stars because besides the toppings, the burgers are just average taste but above average cost.

Yes!!! Finally a good, no actually, great burger at one of these quasi-fast food type burger places. (I'm looking at you Five Guys and Burgerz!) This place actually serves up an amazing burger worthy of the name. I've been here a handful of times and I have yet to be disappointed. I typically go for the Southwest burger, with a corn salsa and avocados; or the Down Under, with onion straws. There is also an option to build your own burger with a huge list of options. All burgers come with two patties on a rich brioche bun. There are also chicken and veggie options. I'm also a fan of their sides. The onion straws are good but my favorite are the fried green beans which are served with a chipotle ranch dipping sauce. I also can vouch for the sweet potato fries -- those are super tasty as well. The place also has a beer license, so you can enjoy a brew with your burger if you want. Service here is always excellent. All the staff and management I have encountered here have been super friendly, helpful and always making sure we are enjoying our meals. Its a nice change compared to other quasi-fast food burger joints in the area. Finally, make sure to get their emails. They don't send that many (so your inbox won't get inundated with junk) but when they do its for something good like a BOGO burger deal or a free side. Do it! You can't argue with free!

Very good. This was my first time. The bun is very tasty and so was the fried green beans.

Burger was awesome, the restaurant is very clean, fried pickles were awesome. Way better than a five guys which I love. And they serve beer. Last thing not sure if he was the manager or owner but he has it together. Service was great.

Been twice now. Much better than some of the other popular burger joints. They have many choices for toppings. Not just ketchup mustard and American cheese. (I'm looking at you five guys) try blue cheese, onion straws are delicious. Restaurant had been very clean both visits. We will be back!

Amazing burger choices! My husband and I choose the lettuce wrap option and the flavors are awesome. FYI on your birthday you get a free burger emailed to you! Check this place out as you won't be disappointed.

I've been back here a couple of times since my original posting, and have not been disappointed. I had the ancho burger, which was very tasty, and the onion straws with the boom-boom sauce, because I am a sucker for fried onions. I'll go back again, but only when I feel like spending a little more on lunch.

The menu is creative and they definitely have a lot of options for a "fast food" restaurant. I'm disappointed that they don't advertise their drive through window. I live across the street and took me weeks to find out. The food on the other hand is great. They offer "naked" style burgers where you can get it wrapped in lettuce or you can a Gluten Free bun. It does fall on the pricey side for fast food but your getting your money's worth. But I also wish the containers weren't so hard to open while driving.

They remodeled the old Burger King, and did an awesome job! We tried some FUB takeout burgers last night. I felt a little like I was cheating on Jaws... Burgers were very tasty and so were the fries. I had the southwest burger with corn and black bean salsa, chipotle mayo, avocado, lettuce, and tomato. It was cooked to medium rare perfection just like I ordered. I was impressed. My husband had the mushroom burger and liked it a lot. They offer veggie choices and gluten-free buns. This is the second location for this local Michigan chain (the first one is in Flint). It's a order at the counter, then have your food brought to your table deal. I guess they're going to offer drive-thru soon, too. Nice setup and great food. Jaws is still our favorite, but FUB is a nice option in the neighborhood.

AMAZING! They have a lot of sauces/dips/toppings to choose from! My favorite thing on the menu is their sweet potato fries :) They have a large menu with a lot of different options. Highly recommend.

Since my "meat desert" had ended along with final exams, I had a hulk on steroids sized hankering for a delicious burger so, my heart beat found this place on Google and we headed there. It is the old BK building, but a lot more polished and indeed upscalesy. The building didn't stand out as we passed it initially only to turn around and barely see the signage. Once inside, viewing the digital images of the burgers I was elated at getting the mushroom burger but, once I saw the the non-beef options, which my plus one does not partake, I too decided on a turkey burger freakin my own way. I did oblige having the smothered fries while claiming my other half's bacon from his turkey burger that had BBQ sauce (achoo I think). I also found it appealing that there was a display of cold beers chilling in ice as a good burger and brew is a Hot Rod American Fav. The tables and chairs were comfortable and the TV's were nice. Overall, nice atmosphere. The get your own drink and ketchup is kinda reminiscent of good ol Wendy's dine-in except these cups were black and not the paper white disposables which is better for dipping. I enjoyed having my fries in an actual piece of dining ware versus a basket or styrofoam clamshell while eating. I did have to use this invention for my take-home, but at least it was served on an actual plate and beautiful asymmetrical bowl. The portion was decent as there were two turkey patties on what looks like a potato bun. Their freakin sauce has very little distinct taste but, didn't over power the burger. I was extremely impressed with the actual taste of the burger itself as I haven't had great experiences with restaurant turkey burgers due to dryness, mealiness and absolutely no flavor. This burger debunks all the above and is satisfying. Loved the deli dill sliced pickles and red onion. The fries were good although I didn't find the chili as flavored as the burger. I did enjoy the toppings that accompanied including the dab of sour cream. Maybe next time I will get them smothered without the less tasting chili which of course has beans. My mirror image had their sweet potato fries and after playing the "let me taste yours to make sure you're not being poisoned, baby," game, I managed to taste which had a hint of cinnamon which I LOVED. They are the BEST SP fries I've had restaurant style since LaVan Hawkins Sweet Georgia Brown's where they were drizzled with honey and cayenne. He enjoyed them as well including his burger, which again not a true carnivore, is a genuine connoisseur of what constitutes a great turkey burger. Overall, I was pleased aesthetically and my palate was satisfied of my high calorie craving. This place may be on my regular dining lists as I would love to try a few more of their non-meat options such as their salmon and portobello burgers. I didn't gather if they were milkshake-aristas because I was too focused on the Sam adams Boston lager cooling like a beached baby seal awaiting my rescue. But, I didn't.

Been here about 5 times and I give it 5 stars for a casual dining place. We've always had great service, friendly staff, excellent food!! Love the fire burger - HOLY HOTNESS!! Great fries Love love love the fried portobello mushrooms so so good! The onion straws are great on the burgers but when ordered as a appetizer, they are not so great. After 3 or so bites, I was over them. Great place to grab a burger and a beer with the "bar" atmosphere.

  • Sarah C.

Great service and pretty good burgers especially for the incredibly low price ($20 for full meal for two). The original burger was much better than their Boursin cheese and jam one which was a bit too sweet for my taste. I liked the regular fries better than the sweet potato ones too... Again the sweetness thing. They even have Glutten free buns.

The building itself is an old Burger King that has been transformed into a much more beautiful structure. Black granite covers the exterior walls which gives this burger place an upscale look. This upscale theme continues inside with the chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. There are televisions inside so you can watch sporting events. The menu and prices are clearly displayed behind and above the counter. Our orders were taken by the helpful & cheerful staff. I ordered the Freakin' burger meal with fried pickles as an extra add on. There is a cooler at the order counter which has a small variety of beers on ice. It was tempting but I held back from getting one - this time! The food was very good. One of the best burgers I've ever had and the fried pickles were delicious! I had leftover pickles that made a filling nighttime snack. This might become my go to burger place!

We stopped in today for the first time. My fiancé had the Fire Burger and said that it was more warm than fiery, but still good. The fries were just fries, nothing really special. I had a build my own burger with pepper jack cheese, tomato, and avocado, and got it naked - meaning wrapped in lettuce instead of on a bun. My only complaint was that the lettuce was very wilted, almost as if they had added it on the grill. I couldn't eat it. The fried pickles were delish, although there was a lot of excess batter bits in the basket. Our bill came to right around $24 for two burgers, two sides, and two drinks. Not sure what the cutoff for the $ rating is, but this may have been closer to $$. Overall we enjoyed it, as it's a different selection to the area.

Awesome Burgers, they live up to the name. There Freakin Unbelievable good. I love going to this place, I've always had a good meal. I was so happy they finally opened up this location in Farmington Hills. I stopped in first day they opened on 01/10/2014 and grabbed the Ancho Burger and the Chicken tenders. Delicious just like the Flint Location.

  • Rachel K.

Aside from the décor, this place isn't entirely "unbelievable"... there are better burger places in town. However, the décor adds a fresh and upscale look that makes it a fun place to be. The buns were good; the meat tasted fresh, there was a perfect amount of cheese on the burger, too, but nothing to write home about. The fries were just okay, too; nothing to crazy over. Overall, the food was just average - the "Freakin' Burger" was just a regular burger. I've yet to try more items off their menu, but for now, it's just average. The décor and name is indeed unique, but overall, it's just regular old Joe!

My husband and I came for dinner at 8pm on a Saturday night; we were drawn in buy a buy-one-get-one-free coupon that came in the mail and that place was maybe 25% full. First thing that struck me as we walked in - I absolutely was not expecting an "order and then sit down" place (rather than "sit down and order"). You walk in and order - the menu is on the wall above the counter like a regular fast food joint - and then sit down and they bring the food to you. The second thing that I noticed was how dirty the seating area was. We had out son with us, and because of the layout of the tables and where others were sitting, there was only one table that would accomodate high chair without it being in the way. That floor under the table was littered with used napkins and french fries. The food was good - I was impressed at the variety on the menu. I had a southwestern burger, my husband had a build-your-own, and our friends that we were with got pre-built burgers off the menu (I'm not sure what 'flavor'). I got two patties on my burger ("the original") and it was a good size, I was a bit disappointed by the amount of french fries. At many places (Red Robin, Basement Burger Bar) we're able to get one order of fries and split it, but not so here. I expect that we'll be back to give FUB another try, but it won't be our favorite.

Fabulous burgers, with options for beef, salmon, veggie or portobello. 2 dozen topping options - blue cheese with onion straws and olives my favorite. This place turned me on to Siracha Mayo, great with their waffle fries.

My go to burger place. Nothing can beat the quality and types of burgers here. The freaking burger is a gourmet version of a Big Mac.

  • Brittany K.

I don't remember what I ordered because I was with 3 other people and we all just cut our burgers in quarters and shared but they were all amazing. Not one of them was short of phenomenal. It was funny seeing this place change from a Burger King but I'm glad it did. The big chandelier adds a cool look to the place and I love how it's easy to order just like smash burger and chipotle. Definitely coming back.

Very pleased with restaurant. Burgers are great! Wide selection of toppings/sauces. Service was good. French fries are unfortunately not freakin' unbelievable more so average. But overall 5 stars. Definitely will be back!

Eh, it was just okay for me. Husband and I had a couple burgers and sweet potato/regular fries. Like I said, just ok. It's a fast food joint with a modern atmosphere. Nice to see MI beers on tap. You want a really good burger?? Go down the street to red coat tavern.

  • Tom A.

The preformed patties, and textureless cooking method leaves me underwhelmed. Doesn't match the expectations of the photo representations on the ordering board. Nice ambience for a burger, and friendly service, but a better burger can be had at several places in the area.

  • Larry S.

What a great place to get a fantastic burger and a craft beer. I could not believe the food and the price. I don't know if it was a special but I had the Down Under with unbelievable sweet potato fries with a cinnamon sugar covering. Delicious is all I could say. I had a pint of draft Crooked tree beer to wash it all down. It was by first trip but I promise it will not be my last. Cons: they need better signage to locate it. I went to the one in Farmington Hills and is located across from ABC appliances on Orchard Lake road. Total price $12.70.

I came up from St. Louis, MO, to visit my boyfriend, and we searched around Yelp for dinner ideas (he doesn't go out much), and I stumbled across this place. We described it as "Hipster Fast Food." I walked in and it was much like any fast food place, you order at the counter and sit down at a table. The food was far superior to any typical fast food restaurant. For one, I have to say, I am so glad they serve beer. I got to try local brews and I found something really good. My boyfriend and I decided to split a 10 piece chicken meal and each get an order of fries. The chicken was hand breaded and nice, tender, and juicy. I couldn't get enough of it. The fries were average, but I will definitely return here for the chicken.

Burgers to die for and great fried green beans. Yes, I said it...fried green beans. Not soggy, crisp, and stays inside the batter when you bite into it. Love this place. I really like the way the burgers all come with two patties automatically. Nothing is better to me than having to fight to keep my burger together because everything is sliding all over the place. Juicy, big, and filling. What more can you ask for? How about great natural cut fries? Yummy

  • L J.

Regarding the food: Great choices for toppings, etc. and unique combo options. My burger was alright (nothing "freakin' unbelievable") and I tried the custard after which just tasted like vanilla froyo. The place was clean and modern. What REALLY bothered me about this place/what made me want to write a review was the service. The lady taking orders had to be one of the least friendly people I have encountered. When your restaurant's entire concept revolves around trying new things and making your own combinations, you should probably have staff that aren't irritated introverts. She made me feel like I was wasting her time for asking for recommendations (even though there was no one behind me). Nicer staff would definitely bring me back here.

Cool place. Wasn't that impressed by the Thai burger. Agree that sweet potato fries were great. I'll go back to try another burger

  • Joiya M.

Burgers are good, not the best in town. I like smash better. The meat is not fresh tasting to me. Taste frozen and stiff like McDonald's. I like the onion straws and the decor but I could have gone to smash and paid just as much for a better sandwich. The staff was alright I guess, the one thing they have going on is beer, you can get a good beer. So three stars for adding beer to an ok/meh burger joint. Add sweets and you would be bomb azz 4 stars.

    (3)
  • Nik P.

A lot more gourmet topping choices than five guys. I like how they have different types of fries and sauces. Pricing is very reasonable. Much better than bagger daves and quicker service as well (no waiters like noodles & co)

HORRIBLE!!!! 4 of us went to eat here. 3 of us got violently ill including out 18 month old. My 4 year old was the only one that didn't get sick and that is because he refused to eat a single bite.

Had the turkey lettuce wrap today! Juicy! Tasty! Tender! Flavorful! Great option if you are cutting back on carbs. A little messy but very tasty and juicy!. Oh, did I mention that again? Hmmmm? :D

Greasy burger and the Freakin sauce had no flavor. My fries were swimming in grease from the burger. Not a fan and there are way better burgers in the area.

These guys have some pretty tasty burgers. Defiantly gourmet quality. I was surprised because I remember the location being a Burger King. I didn't even know they turned it into something else until I looked on yelp for a place to get a burger and saw it today. Too bad they removed the drive thru, but that forced me to go inside. Nice decor! I dig the corrugated steel and visible ventilation. Very modern and well done. Bummer I wanted something to take to go. I would have liked to sit next to the big windows at the front and enjoy the ambience while eating my meal. Maybe have a beer. On the bright side the fries come in containers that are made for your couple holders. And they had a couple types of fries so we had to try a few out. Delicious. Almost as good as the burgers. Almost. They double patty the burgers. LOVED IT! Bummer they don't wrap the burgers in a way to make it easy to eat while driving. I guess you can't have it all.

  • Adrien C.

Here is my take: Freakin' Unbelievably.... Unimpressed. We thought the burgers were good, but the meat didn't taste all that great and the special sauce was chipotle mayo. Big deal. We much prefer Jaws Jumbo Burgers in the next parking lot over (north of this place). And then you would be supporting a local business. Yes, FUB sells beer and that will be good for its sales. But that's ok. Not sure we would go back.

  • Kelly R.

Great burgers, friendly staff, pleasant atmosphere! I ordered the freakin burger which was double beef patties, American cheese, freakin sauce, pickles, lettuce, tomato and onion. I made it a combo to include fries and a drink, and it was only $9!

  • Nic F.

Just ok. Service was questionable (forgot our order and messed up things), too many workers for the amount of customers, felt like a fancy Burger King. It is nice that they have different burgers but definitely not the best in town for the price

Finally tried this place over the weekend..It looks great, I used to eat at this when it was a Burger King..I had a burger with blue cheese and bacon it was awesome. My favorite was the portabello mushroom wedges..too die for..Will definitely be back

  • Brad J.

This place is fantastic. Been here twice since it opened, and I really don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. The service is great, and they have more options than I would imagine a burger place would have. Also, try the onion straws with the boom boom sauce. Delicious!

    (5)
  • Emily D.

For beef burgers to be Freakin' Unbelievable, they have to start off being charcoal grilled, not fried. The regular fries and deep fried onion rings are way too salty. The sweet potato fries, which I chose to have without sugar and cinnamon, were delicious. My black bean burger was like teriyaki mush. But,our buns and fresh toppings were excellent. If i ever go again, I'll try the salmon burger. I disagree that the pricing was $. I consider it $$.
